Psychological Support
for the Emotional Realities
of Parenthood

Tailored support to help you navigate the complexities of parenthood and emotional wellbeing

Parenthood doesn’t always feel the way we expected
and for many it brings complex and often unspoken emotional experiences.

I offer individual therapy for those navigating the varied experiences and emotional challenges that can arise within and alongside parenthood, as well as specialist gender disappointment services for parents, loved ones and professionals.

Below you will find the different ways we can work together.

Ways I Can Support You

Regular, ongoing, one-to-one therapeutic support for the varied experiences and emotional challenges that can arise within and alongside parenthood.

Parenthood can bring unexpected realities, significant life transitions and difficult emotions. The challenges that can arise during this stage of life can affect how we think, feel, relate to others and see ourselves, and can lead to feelings of overwhelm, sadness, anxiety and uncertainty about how to move forward.

Through therapy, we work together to help you make sense of what you are going through and feel better equipped to navigate the challenges you are facing.

Specialist support relating to parental gender disappointment, including therapy, consultation and professional training.

Parental gender disappointment (distress in relation to baby’s sex) can be a complex, deeply personal and often misunderstood part of becoming and being a parent. It can bring up difficult emotions, questions about identity, long-held hopes, worries and expectations as well as past difficulties or trauma and current concerns about how to move forward. Many people find it difficult to talk about openly, fearing judgement from others.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, guidance in supporting someone close to you, or opportunities to deepen your professional understanding, there are different ways we can work together.
